1. First, we will schedule a consultation to assess the health and condition of your current teeth and determine the appropriate treatment plan. Once treatment is reviewed and accepted you will then be reappointed for a records appointment.
2. During the records appointment, we will take digital photos and impressions to send to our lab. We will also discuss the teeth shape and shade that you are interested in. The lab will then fabricate a 3D model of your new smile. This will be used to fabricate your temporary veneers.
3. During your next appointment, Dr. Tuft or Dr. Ziegler will begin to prep your teeth to accept the veneer shell. Preparation involves shaving a thin layer of the tooth’s surface to allow the veneer to fit properly and trimming the tooth to the proper length. Once the tooth is properly shaped, your dentist will take digital impressions of your teeth and send them to a lab where your custom dental veneer will be made.
4. Once your veneer is ready, we'll schedule a fitting. Your veneer will be placed on your teeth and tested for strength and durability to ensure it can withstand the pressure and impact of natural teeth. Once the proper fit is determined, it's permanently bonded into place, and ready to act as your natural teeth.
